Life drawing is the best way to learn to draw and develop hand-eye coordination. It's also very relaxing and a great way to clear your head after a busy working day. All artists, even the most famous and established painters and illustrators, attend Life Drawing Classes throughout their creative lives to keep their skills up to scratch. Especially important for budding fashion designers, illustrators and fine artists: our life drawing classes will help you understand the anatomy of the human body before you start to clothe it.
Life Drawing Classes Content
Our Life Drawing lessons are ideal for those with little or no experience in drawing the human body, or those who want to refresh their technique:
- An introduction to artists using the figure
- Experimenting with drawing mediums; charcoal and pencil drawing
- Mark making
- Exploring the basic anatomy of the body, the shapes within its structure, its overall silhouette and proportions
- Line and creating tone
- Movement of the body
- Expression by the model and artist
So that you can truly learn to capture the human form, City Academy use nude life models these art classes.
No need to bring anything with you, just yourself and your creativity! All materials including paper will be provided.
