Our Online Salsa Classes - Beginners is ideal for those new to Salsa and looking to learn in a relaxed group setting. In this practical online dance lesson you will learn all of the basic Salsa steps, explore rhythm and movement and grow in confidence from the comfort of your home. Each week you’ll build on what you’ve learned with steadily more complex combinations as you become more familiar with this sociable and lyrical dance form.
In this virtual course you will:
- Understand the fundamentals of salsa music and rhythm
- Learn the basic steps, such as side step, right and left turn, and practice through combinations
- Work on your confidence, in both yourself and in your movement, introduction to shines
- Learn about posture of Salsa through warm-up, footwork and choreographic combinations
Our Online Salsa classes are a great way to learn about the footwork and dance combinations. You do not need to have a dance partner to join the course as the content will be adapted to suit single or pair work.
You will need:
- a device with a camera and microphone
- at least 2 metre squared to move in
- comfortable clothes so you can move freely
- Suede or hard soled shoes (men) or salsa shoes (women)

No Venue
All City Academy tutors are experienced professionals from theatre, film/TV and performance industries. So whilst they're training you they may also be rehearsing for a West End show or working on a movie. We like that and we do believe it makes a difference in class.
