Online Writing Club

City Academy’s monthly Online Writing Club is a great way for City Academy students to connect with fellow writers from the comfort of home.

The club enables you to join other students in a supportive environment to share your ideas and be inspired. Our creative writing group is exclusive to current writing students and alumni. We think you’ll find the club really enjoyable, so to encourage you, we offer your first session for free.

You can choose to come along just to listen and socialise with other writers, or if you want to present any of your work you can book a sharing slot.

City Academy’s monthly virtual Writing Club

  • Provides a platform for you to share new work
  • Enables you to learn from fellow writers
  • Is a creative environment to inspire confidence
  • As with all of our online writing workshops, supports you to continue the work you began on your writing course
  • Provides regular prompts to kickstart your writing

You will need

  • A device with a camera and microphone
  • A desk, table or flat surface on which to write
  • Paper or notebook; Pen or pencil

Please note, the Writing Club is only available to graduates of a City Academy online or in-studio writing course.

A note on participation: Enhancing these skills requires practical and active participation. As this is an interactive, group class all students will be required to have their videos turned on.

We offer a full credit or refund of the paid value of your original course if you cancel at least 72 hours before the start of your booking. Any refund will only be made to the original payment card.

We do not offer any refund if you cancel less than 72 hours before the start of your booking, or if you do not attend. For more information please see our full Terms and Conditions at the bottom of this page.

10% DISCOUNT AVAILABLE

If you book 2 or more different classes/courses at a time we can offer you a 10% discount. No Venue

All City Academy tutors are experienced professionals from theatre, film/TV and performance industries. So whilst they're training you they may also be rehearsing for a West End show or working on a movie. We like that and we do believe it makes a difference in class.
