Salsa is a sociable and energetic dance style, and our one-day crash course - Salsa Intensive - Beginners Classes - is a great way to start learning. Over the course of the day you will be introduced to essential Salsa steps and moves in a relaxed and enjoyable environment.
The day will be split into two three-hour sessions, starting with the basics and slowly building your steps and transitions into more complex combinations. There will be time to practice your new moves, so that you can gain confidence in your new skills and get ready to use them on any dance floor.
Salsa Intensive - Beginners Classes Content
The course will cover all the basics you need to start dancing Salsa:
- Introduction to Salsa
- Basic steps and fundamental moves
- Transitions and travelling steps
- Developing and understanding timing and rhythm
- Developing confidence in using Salsa steps and moves freestyle
Like all of our salsa classes, you’ll receive friendly feedback throughout, and you don’t have to bring a partner to join the course
Please bring suitable footwear, with a smooth sole, to the course. Trainers are not suitable for salsa dancing.
