Sitcom Writing - Level 2

Our Sitcom Writing Courses - Level 2 option are ideal if you want to develop a sitcom script you have written in a fun and supportive environment, and for graduates of the Sitcom Writing - Beginners course. A prerequisite is to bring your own script for development, including character biographies.

On this sitcom writing course, we’ll look at vario us tools and video examples that will give you the insights you need to really explore your sitcom. We’ll look at theme so you can see what you’re really writing about, and we’ll look at ways to test whether your idea really has ‘legs’. We’ll build on all the tools from the Level 1 class, and look at new ones. 

The two most valuable things you can have are feedback and deadlines, so part of each session will be analysing student’s work to give feedback, looking at examples of commissioned sitcoms and giving homework so that students can feed what they’ve learned back into their scripts before the next session.
