Cristina Codina Llavina

Cristina Codina Llavina is from Barcelona. She qualified as an Alexander Technique teacher in London in 2005 and is a member of The Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique (STAT).

Since then, Cristina has been teaching workshops for various organisations and individual sessions. Her clients approach her for various reasons; improving the way they play an instrument, gaining a better poise when acting, relieving neck and back pain, boosting their presence in business and improving how they sit in the office setting.

Cristina was captivated by the potential of the human body and its ability to overcome pain, as she herself developed acute back pain while studying to become a laboratory technician and was diagnosed with sclerosis.

She discovered Alexander Technique after trying every available therapy at the time, only to discover that the pain would return in a few days. Through Alexander Technique her posture and back pain improved considerably. Cristina believes passionately in the technique, and credits it for transforming her life. She feels much better now than she did in her 20’s.

Motivated by her own experience of self-empowerment through learning the Alexander Technique, she is eager to share her teaching to others.

Cristina says: “I believe everyone can learn to use their bodies more effectively and improve physical freedom and vitality”.
