Francine heads up the City Academy Art department. She is an illustrator, designer, journalist and photographer, and has worked as the art editor and editor for several high profile magazines. She originally specialised in Graphic Design and Photography at art school, before completing a postgraduate degree at Central Saint Martins.
Francine worked as the launch Art Director of Country Living magazine, where she later went on to become the editor, and she has won multiple awards for her design work. She was the Editorial Director of Illustrated Books at Simon & Schuster UK, and has also illustrated several books.
In addition to overseeing our Art department, Francine teaches How to Draw for Beginners and Improvers. She loves sharing her passion for drawing and her classes are fun and relaxed.
Being an avid traveller, Francine always brings her sketchbook with her to capture her memories.
