Lucy Atkinson Parker

Lucy studied at The University of Oxford before training as an actor at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. She pursued a career in Acting before qualifying as a teacher and completing a PGCE Drama at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.

While teaching Drama and Acting for eight years Lucy developed an interest in Voice and Speech in performance and so she returned to Central to complete a Masters degree in Voice Studies, for which she was awarded the Julia Wilson-Dickson In Memoriam Scholarship. Lucy now works with students, including Drama students at Mountview, actors at companies such as Rose Theatre Kingston, and business professionals from companies such as Accenture, enabling them to develop clear communication skills and use their voices in the most effective way. Lucy has experience of teaching on many of the Voice and Accent classes at City Academy including Accent Softening for Actors and Business and Presentation Skills courses.
