Lydia MacKenzie

Lydia MacKenzie studied at the Central School of Ballet and holds a BA in Professional Dance and Performance. She is a passionate dance teacher, and loves seeing students progress through movement and developing their artistry.

As a professional dancer Lydia has performed at the Royal Albert hall in ‘Classical Spectacular’, toured as a company dancer in the Ballet Central Tour and performed in the Corps de Ballet in Bermuda Civic’s Ballet production of Romeo and Juliet.

As a highly experienced dance instructor, Lydia has taught both adults and youth, including creative movement classes for young people with learning disabilities and large-scale ballet work for junior students. Her classes focuses on understanding the correct form and techniques, but importantly, also on fun and different expressive qualities. Lydia aims to provide a sense of freedom in movement.

“I love having the opportunity to share my passion and enjoyment of dance with others and being able to offer students an understanding of what their bodies are capable of.”
